ShutOff SE v2.3.1 was released on 1 September 2003.
Version 2.3.1 (released 01/09/2003) changes from v2.3.0
- First update in over two years, to coincide with the release of ShutOff 2000 v2.6.1.
- Renamed program to ShutOff SE (Special Edition) from ShutOff Lite. SE is the freeware version.
- Utilised version checking source code from ShutOff 2000 v2.6.1 to allow detection of Windows XP and Windows Server 2003.
Version 2.3.0 (released 01/06/2001) changes from 2.2.0
- First update in over eight months, to coincide with the release of ShutOff 2000 v2.5.0.
- The source code for ShutOff Lite v2.2.0 went missing, so a completely new interface was designed.
- The look and feel of ShutOff 2000 v2.5.0, as well as the basic source code was used for ShutOff Lite.
- Since ShutOff 2000 has advanced sufficiently, the Force and Disable settings have been included in this version. However, no settings will be saved in the Windows® Registry.
- Changed version numbering format to match the major.minor.incremental format of ShutOff 2000.
- Compressed the compiled executable to a miniscule 12KB.
- Rebuilt distribution files and documentation, and revamped the website to include information on ShutOff Lite.
Version 2.2.0 (released 15/09/2000) changes from 2.0.0 beta 3
- Changed interface and version numbering to follow ShutOff 2000 v2.2.0, and renamed program to ShutOff Lite to eliminate confusion.
- Added proper Windows®-based help file.
- Updated documentation and website.
